![]() ![]() The size of the ScummVM core can vary a lot depending on the number of engines you include in it during compilation.StupidHoroscope has implemented a cursor acceleration which is useful to move cursor quickly with D-pad.Libretro core is based on old version (2.1.1) and the repo is a lot less active than the official scummvm.kyra.dat has been updated and now allows to run westwood games correctly.Themes and others extras files are not compatible between v2.1.1 and v2.7.The main differences between these cores are probably more on the compatibility (About 385 games supported on v2.7 vs 298 games for the v2.1.1). I didn't see major performance differences between 2.1.1 and 2.7 with or without HIGH_DEF engines.I have compiled and tested a lot of ScummVM cores and my observations are : I've also edited each readme to explain the differences of each repo and added some details about compilation. Here my 3 forked repos, as previsouly, in the same order : This is the idea from StupidHoroscope but more configurable. Then I have forked each of the StupidHoroscope's repo to update it (while keeping his modifications) and added a new core option allows to choose a target FPS which impacts audio buffer. a new core option to have less audio stuttering.a better mouse cursor acceleration to be use with the D-Pad of the Miyoo Miyoo. Here his 3 forked repos in the same order from the previous one.Ĭomparing the official libretro, these repos contains some optimizations for low power devices like the Miyoo Mini : ![]() StupidHoroscope has adapted and optimized ScummVM for the Miyoo Mini. That's why I've builded this core in the Test Pack. The official libretro core is currently a little outdated (v2.1.1) and support less games than the current v2.7 of ScummVM (About 298 games in v2.1.1 vs 385 in v2.7).īut may be the official libretro core is still interesting because it includes commits from the Retroarch team which could have some different behavior comparing to the official ScummVM. It's not the official ScummVM RA core for now but it should be ( see this issue). -> the official libretro repo, based on 2.1.1, independent of the 2 others.ĭiablodiab/libretro-scummvm-backend allows to create an up to date Retroarch core from the official ScummVM sources.-> This repo allows to build a Libretro core of ScummVM, it requires the official ScummVM repo quoted above as prerequisite.-> the official and very active ScummVM repo for standalone build of ScummVM. We have 3 main interesting repos for ScummVM : We will include the best one in the futur version of Onion. Here I summarize what I've learned and for courageous adventurers who like ScummVM, I've made a ScummVM test pack with different ScummVM cores that I've compiled. ![]() Hi guys, In the last few days I've been working on the ScummVM update for Onion. ![]()
